Hey everyone, I've been following Eric Savoy Brown's case and just can’t wrap my head around all the gun violence lately. I can't imagine what his family must be going through. Reading about where it happened, near a church, is particularly sad. It makes me think about how nowhere seems truly safe anymore. What’s even more unsettling is that he managed to run a whole block after being shot—it's like he was fighting every moment for his life. I’ve seen community leaders calling for more collaboration between residents and law enforcement. It’s a step in the right direction, but it feels like we also need more social programs to address the root causes of violence. If anyone has worked on community initiatives before, does it actually help? Hoping for peace and justice for Eric and others affected by such tragedies. Stay safe out there, everyone.
