I’ve been wondering about the significance of Wicheng taking her birth certificate and SSID card when she left her family’s place. It strikes me as a bit odd, especially since those aren’t things you usually carry around daily. Could it be that she was really planning something more significant than just a job application? Maybe she was considering a major move or some other life change. Anyone else have thoughts on why she would make sure to have those important documents with her when she left?
