I still can't wrap my head around the fact that little Brandon was just getting a haircut when this tragedy happened. It feels so wrong on so many levels. His life ended way too soon, and I can't begin to imagine the pain his family is going through. What's so disconcerting is how easily innocent lives get caught in the crossfire. The fact that the assailants had automatic weapons and didn't think twice about spraying bullets is terrifying. This wasn't just reckless; it was heartless. I'm relieved the police have made progress with arrests. Let's hope justice is served for Brandon and his family finds some peace knowing those responsible are held accountable. Also, big shoutout to the Bessemer community for coming together. It's clear they're demanding change and accountability. We need more of that spirit everywhere. Gun violence doesn't belong anywhere near our children.
