Does anyone else feel like we're not talking enough about the change in atmosphere at Oasis of Praise Church since the tragedy? I recently attended one of the services, and I could feel a tangible shift in the congregation's spirit. Patrick Cooper did a touching job leading the prayer service, but the absence of Allan and Gay was unmistakable. You could see it in the faces around the room—people are still grappling with what happened. It's hard to imagine how the community can move forward after losing not just beloved church members but an entire branch of a family. Maybe attending church services every Sunday will help keep their memory alive and offer comfort to those struggling with the loss. And hopefully, this tragedy will motivate more churches to engage in essential discussions about mental health and domestic violence. I'm just heartened to see the community is rallying around the Kendricks, but it’s a long road to healing. How’s everyone else coping?
