I can’t stop thinking about the fact that this happened right in the middle of the afternoon, at a busy place where people are just going about their daily lives. My heart goes out to Exavier Tywan Mitchell's family, having to deal with such a senseless loss, especially right after the holidays. This isn’t just a statistic or another crime report, it’s a real person who was loved and mattered to many. I'm hoping that anyone with information, even the smallest detail, will come forward. It's unsettling to think someone could do this and then disappear without a trace. It makes me appreciate the efforts of the Birmingham Police and community leaders who are pushing for change, but it also shows how much more work needs to be done. Let’s remember Exavier and hope that justice is served for his family.
Does anyone else feel uneasy about how something like this can happen in broad daylight? Exavier’s murder happening in a populated area like the Dollar General parking lot and near those apartment complexes is so terrifying. I’m really hoping someone steps forward with some information. I can only imagine how his family must be feeling during this incredibly difficult time. It's so frustrating to think potential witnesses might not be speaking up, especially when something so tragic has taken place in our community. Let’s keep spreading the message that any detail, no matter how small, could be the key to finding whoever did this. Keeping Exavier’s loved ones in my thoughts and praying for some justice soon.
