I've been following the tragic incident involving Prentice Lamone Bibbs, and I can't shake the thought that someone out there knows exactly what happened that night on the Bessemer Super Highway. It's incredibly frustrating to think about how a person could just drive away without a second thought for the life they ended. The fact that Bibbs was left there, in such a vulnerable state, is beyond comprehension.
As troubling as this hit-and-run is, it's sadly a reflection of a bigger issue with pedestrian safety and accountability. Bibbs's passing is a devastating wake-up call for all of us. We need to push for stronger measures to protect pedestrians and ensure that those responsible for such reckless and heartless actions are brought to justice. My heart goes out to his loved ones. I sincerely hope those with information will come forward—it’s the least that can be done for a man loved by his community.
