The Fort Totten area tragedy has really stayed with me, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. Tarriq Curtis Childs' loss on December 28, 2019, is a reminder of how fragile life can be and the importance of community in these unsettling times. I'm thinking a lot about the detectives on this case, Cuevas and O'Donnell, and how relentless their work must be. I commend them for diving deep into this investigation. Getting justice for Tarriq isn't just about solving one crime; it's about giving his loved ones the peace they deserve and standing up to reduce the broader issue of gun violence plaguing our communities. Community input is invaluable. If anyone knows anything—even the smallest detail—it could be crucial. It's encouraging to see the reward being offered, but beyond that, we must all stand together. Tarriq's friends and family deserve answers, and the District deserves to feel safe again. Let's hope someone comes forward with information to help crack this case. My thoughts are with those affected.
