I feel so deeply for Maurice's family and friends during this excruciating time. It's unsettling how quickly someone's life can be taken by something as senseless as gun violence. From what I've read, Maurice was just trying to visit his brother when this horrible act occurred. It makes you wonder what led to such a tragic encounter. The fact that this happened in broad daylight is just terrifying. I can't help but think about the impact this is having on the community too. This being the 50th homicide of the year in Birmingham speaks volumes about the situation there. It's concerning that no arrests have been made yet.
