Hey everyone, I’ve been keeping up with Cassie Carli's case, and something that's been on my mind is the role of jurisdiction in how this investigation has unfolded. The fact that her body was discovered in Alabama, but she went missing in Florida, seems like it might complicate things a bit — not to mention Spanevelo was arrested in Tennessee! How do these interstate elements play into how justice is pursued? It just seems like it could slow things down or lead to legal entanglements. Does anyone have insight into how these multi-state proceedings typically work? Do they affect how quickly a case can go to trial, or are there safeguards to prevent things from becoming more complicated than they already are? I can’t even imagine how trying this must be for her family and friends, having to wait for justice in what feels like a drawn-out process. Hoping for some discussion that sheds light on this aspect. Keeping Cassie’s loved ones in my thoughts as they navigate this nightmare. Take care, everyone.
