I keep thinking about the fact that Lazarus Howard III left his cat behind when he disappeared. From what I've read, it's so out of character for anyone deeply connected to their pet to just leave them without any kind of preparation or care. This really makes me question the circumstances of his disappearance. Was he planning on coming back and something unexpected happened? Or could it mean he didn't leave on his own free will? Anyone with pets knows they wouldn’t just leave without making some arrangements if they had the choice. It's such a puzzling detail and feels like a significant clue. What do you all think? Could there be more to this that we're missing?
