I've been following Janiyah Simmons' case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the overwhelming support her school community is offering. It's truly commendable how Wenonah High School is stepping up, with Dr. Mark Sullivan and Dr. Willie Goldsmith Jr. ensuring that grief counselors are present for students and staff. This tragedy is a stark reminder of how precious life is, especially someone so young and promising like Janiyah. I can't imagine how difficult this time must be for her friends and classmates. This supportive environment can hopefully provide some comfort to those who are struggling to come to terms with this devastating event. Anyone have insight into how the school community is coping or any personal experiences in situations like this? It's encouraging to see communities stepping up during such difficult times.
