It's truly tragic what happened to Raymond Cotton Jr., and I can only imagine the pain his family and friends are feeling right now. I was looking into the case and noticed that it took nearly a week to arrest Micah Spratt in Dallas. It makes me wonder about the process involved in tracking him down. Was it a tip-off that led to his arrest, or did they rely on forensic evidence tying him to the scene? The cross-state capture seems like it could involve some complex coordination between police departments, and I'd love to know more about how they manage that. I'm hopeful that with him now in custody, Raymond's loved ones will receive some answers and justice.

I’ve been following this case closely and something about the timeline from Dallas to Birmingham is really sticking with me. I’m trying to wrap my head around how Micah Spratt ended up in Texas after the shooting. It’s a pretty significant distance to cover in such a short period, isn’t it? Did he have connections there, or was it just a place to lay low? I can’t imagine the fear and confusion the Cotton family must be feeling, given all the uncertainty. Raymond deserved so much better than to become another statistic, and his loved ones deserve answers. I hope investigators are piecing things together quickly. Anyone have thoughts on how inter-state fugitives are typically handled in cases like this?
