Did anyone else find it odd how quickly the crash site vanished under snow and debris? I get that the weather in that area can be pretty unpredictable, but for the wreckage to be there one day and gone the next is unsettling. I've been reading about Mt. Crillon's climate, and apparently, avalanches and sudden snowstorms are not uncommon, but it still feels eerie. Does anyone have any insight or similar cases where a crash site just disappeared like this? It must have been so frustrating for the search teams at the time, given how close they were to actually reaching it.
