I can't shake the feeling of sadness thinking about Fannie "Tiny" Carter's tragic passing. It's just so upsetting to know she was just an innocent bystander caught in a senseless act of violence. I read about the measures the Housing Authority is putting in place, like the new cameras and lights. It makes me wonder if it’s enough or if more community-based solutions are necessary. Security is important, yes, but fostering a sense of community responsibility and support might go a long way in preventing these horrible events. My heart goes out to her family and anyone who knew her. Let's hope these new safety initiatives can help save others from the same fate.

Did anyone else catch Mayor Woodfin’s speech about Fannie “Tiny” Carter's tragic death? It honestly brought tears to my eyes to hear how deeply connected he was to her and how he’s genuinely pushing for change in our community to prevent this from happening again. It’s just so incredibly sad that someone like her, who was just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, had to pay such a price. The fact that she was a close friend of the mayor's family just underscores how personal this loss is for so many people. I also wanted to mention the new security measures put in place by the Housing Authority. I hope these changes, like the additional cameras and floodlights, really make a difference and help prevent further tragedies. We can only hope that something positive can come out of such a senseless act. To everyone impacted by this loss, including Carter's family and friends, my thoughts are with you during this unimaginably difficult time. If there’s any information that someone has, please, let’s come together as a community to find justice for Tiny and put a stop to this violence.

Has anyone heard more about the security measures that were implemented in Elyton Village after Fannie Carter's tragic passing? It's comforting to know that the Housing Authority of Birmingham District is trying to make the area safer, but I wonder if these measures have had any noticeable impact since then. It's just so incredibly frustrating to think that Tiny, an innocent person with no part in the feud, was taken from her family and community because of this senseless violence. I'm hoping someone in the community might have seen something and will come forward with information. Every little bit could help bring justice and prevent tragedies like this from happening again. The whole situation really makes you think about what more can be done to protect our neighborhoods.
