Hey everyone, I saw something interesting today while re-reading about the Deon Bolden case that I hadn't noticed before. Has anyone else paid attention to the location where the confrontation happened? The fact that it was near the intersection of 88th and West Courtland Avenue makes me wonder if there were any CCTV cameras around back in 2009. I know it’s not the busiest area, but there might have been a chance that some businesses or even traffic cams caught something that could help. I really feel for Deon’s family, and it's so frustrating to think that maybe some small detail like camera footage or witness testimony could still be out there waiting to come forward. If anyone has information on whether footage was ever reviewed or if there were updates on witness statements about that specific spot, it could bring a glimmer of hope for his family still seeking answers. It just feels like there has to be someone out there with the key to unlocking what really happened. Thoughts?

I can't stop thinking about how brave Deon's mother is for speaking out against the "no snitch" mentality in the community. It takes immense courage to stand up and challenge a culture that often silences those most affected by violence. Her determination to draw attention to this issue, even in the midst of her own grief, is truly admirable. I hope her strength encourages others who might hold vital information to come forward. This case needs a breakthrough so Deon's family can find some semblance of peace. Has anyone here heard of any recent efforts in the community to support the family or to address this culture of silence?

Has anyone else been following the case of Deon Bolden? I came across it recently, and I can’t stop thinking about what his family must be going through, especially after all these years. It's just so tragic to see a young life taken over something as senseless as a road altercation. I read that his mother has been really vocal about wanting to change the "no snitch" culture, which seems to have stalled the investigation. I just can't imagine the frustration and pain that Deon’s family must feel knowing that there might be people out there with information who haven’t come forward. It’s been over a decade, and they still don't have closure. The thought that someone could have answers but remains silent is just baffling to me. Hoping that one day, someone with the missing piece of the puzzle comes forward and gives Deon's family the peace they deserve.
