Hey everyone, I wanted to start a conversation about something that's been on my mind regarding the case of Savannah Martinez. It's been a few weeks since she went missing, and I'm surprised that there hasn't been more media coverage about it. Given that she's only 15, you'd think there'd be more public effort to spread the word and find her. I’ve been wondering if anyone knows how decisions are made about issuing AMBER Alerts. It seems strange that Savannah's case didn't trigger one, especially since she's so young. Are there specific criteria that determine whether or not an alert gets issued? It just seems like getting the public involved quickly could make a huge difference in these situations. If anyone has insights or could point me in the direction of more info about how these alerts work, that would be amazing.
