I’ve been following Ryan T. Rompre's case, and it's so tough to see another light snuffed out due to senseless gun violence in Milwaukee. It's horrifying to think about how he and the woman with him must have felt in those final moments. I can't imagine the pain Ryan's family is going through right now. Losing someone so young and so suddenly is beyond tragic. What really frustrates me is how these drive-by shootings keep happening. It sounds like there were multiple incidents during that period, and it feels like nothing's changing. Why isn't more being done to stop these violent crimes before they take lives like Ryan’s? I hope that we can push for stronger community safety measures and maybe even some reforms to try and prevent events like these from becoming just another statistic. My heart goes out to all of Ryan's loved ones; nobody deserves this kind of loss.
