Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Corey C. Bowens, and I wanted to bring attention to how much the community seems to still be grieving and rallying around his memory. I recently came across a local volunteer group that has been organizing vigils and community meetings focused on combating gun violence in Milwaukee. The effort they're putting in to honor Corey and other victims is truly moving and speaks volumes about the love and support within these neighborhoods, despite the violence.
It’s devastating to see so many young lives, like Corey's, lost to senseless violence, but seeing the community come together has given me a bit of hope. It's not just about remembering—we need to push for change in his memory.
Would love to hear if anyone else has seen similar efforts in their communities or has insights on how we can support these grassroots movements to drive impactful change.
