I’ve been thinking a lot about Kashin Strickland’s case, especially regarding the northwest side of Milwaukee and how much gun violence has plagued that area. It’s such a tragedy that communities like these have to endure so much pain and loss, and Kashin’s life was taken way too soon. I read that his funeral was at Reid's New Golden Gate Funeral Home, which has seen too many young lives lost to violence. Does anyone know if there were any witnesses that night who might be able to shed some light on what actually happened? I often wonder if it's just pure fear or frustration that keeps people from speaking out. The weight of having so many unsolved homicides must be immense for the families. My thoughts go out to Kashin’s family and friends—no one should have to face this kind of sorrow, especially during what should've been a festive season.

I've been following the discussions about Kashin Strickland, and something that's been on my mind is the community's role in these tragedies. Milwaukee has been grappling with violent crime for years, and Kashin's case is yet another reminder of the impact it has on our neighborhoods. It's devastating to think about how many families have to face the same pain that Kashin's loved ones are experiencing. I can't help but wonder if there's more we can do as a community to prevent these senseless acts. Whether it's through neighborhood watch programs, local outreach, or simply checking in on one another, there must be ways to come together to make our streets safer. It would be great to hear if anyone knows of initiatives already in place in Milwaukee or success stories from other cities—I believe we can all learn from each other in this fight against violence. My heart goes out to Kashin's family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. Let's keep them in our thoughts and do what we can to prevent any more losses like this.
