Has anyone looked into the marinas in the area where he usually fished? A lot of people don't realize how easy it is to dock and set out with minimal interaction from anyone nearby, especially if you know the area well. Given that he was an experienced fisherman, he might have arranged to meet someone there or knew a spot where he wouldn’t run into many people. I know marine radios are common, but they’re not foolproof for tracking someone’s location. Perhaps a visit to local marina owners or workers might shed some light? They might recall seeing him or provide other clues. Hopefully, more eyes and ears can close some gaps in this case.
