I’ve been thinking a lot about Lori's case and the moments before she disappeared. It's so deeply unsettling how the last known photograph of her was such a fleeting moment of kindness. That image of Kelly Gorby giving Lori a coat really struck a chord with me. It makes me wonder about the impact small acts of kindness can have and how they often go unnoticed. Despite the challenges Lori faced, it shows that even amidst darkness, someone out there was trying to shed a bit of light. I hope Lori felt some comfort in that gesture. It’s haunting to think such a seemingly small moment in time turned out to be so significant in the timeline of her story. It's a sobering reminder of how fragile life can be, and how important it is to cherish compassion when we see it. My heart aches for Lori’s daughters and her family. They’re in my thoughts.
