Hey everyone, I've been following the discussion about Mason Lawing's disappearance, and something's been on my mind. I know they've had law enforcement and rescue teams out there trying to locate him, but I wonder if there's anyone local who has experience with these river conditions and could offer additional insights? Maybe there's a spot downstream known for debris accumulation that hasn't been checked thoroughly yet. I’ve read about cases where local knowledge made a big difference in narrowing down search areas. Just a thought, but maybe someone familiar with the South Umpqua River might have some tips that could help guide the search efforts. What do you guys think?

Has anyone heard any updates on the search efforts for Mason Lawing? I know the conditions on the South Umpqua River are challenging right now due to the high waters, but I'm hoping for some promising news. I'm curious if they’ve brought in drones or any other tech to aid the search. I saw something similar used in another case and it seemed really effective given the terrain and water conditions. I can't imagine what his family must be going through right now. Holding out hope for a breakthrough soon.

Did anyone else read about the recent incident on the South Umpqua River? I came across some discussions about Mason Lawing, who went missing after a boating mishap. It's been days since the incident, and it sounds like they’re still searching for him. I’m curious if anyone knows about the types of resources they bring in for cases like this? I mean, the current must have been strong with all that rain, but do they use helicopters or just boats? Hope they find him soon. It must be an incredibly difficult time for those who know him.
