Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Roger Gene Jeffreys' case, and one aspect that really stands out to me is the role that advancements in forensic science played in finally identifying him. It’s incredible and somewhat bittersweet to see how far technology has come since the 1980s. For nearly two decades, his family had no answers, no closure. It's really important to acknowledge the dedicated work of forensic scientists and law enforcement that led to finally putting a name to his remains. I can’t imagine the mixture of emotions Roger’s loved ones must have felt when they received the news. Relief to finally have answers, yet sorrow given the circumstances. It must have been a long and painful wait for his family and friends. I hope someday they get the justice and peace they deserve, and that whoever is responsible for this senseless act is brought to justice. Does anyone else here have thoughts about how forensic advancements have helped in solving cold cases like this one?
