Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something about Amanda "Sissy" Goodman's case that’s been on my mind lately. It's always haunting how the rain that day in May 1989 might have hampered law enforcement's efforts to gather crucial evidence. It’s tragic because the rain washing away potential clues could have stalled the investigation right from the start. You have to feel for the detectives who worked tirelessly, yet had their hands tied in such frustrating circumstances. I think about how different it could have been if the weather was clear, and maybe things would have turned out differently for Amanda’s family. It's heartbreaking to think her mother, Barbara, passed away without answers. I truly believe the community’s continued gatherings in memory of Amanda are important. They keep the conversation going, reminding us all of the need for justice not only for Amanda but for many cold cases out there. If anyone has any thoughts on how the weather impacted early forensic work, or maybe ideas that could help this investigation, please share. Let’s keep the hope alive for Amanda and her family.
