A young girl is shot and killed while on her way home from school
On May 16, 1989, 13-year-old Amanda "Sissy" Goodman was brutally murdered while walking home from Brownwood Middle School in Brownwood, Texas. Her body was discovered later that day along Indian Creek Road, about ten miles south of Brownwood, with a single gunshot wound to the head.
