I was just reading about Donna Prudhomme's case in the Texas Killing Fields, and it truly haunts me how many families have been left without answers. Something that struck me is the fact that Donna struggled to make a stable living and how that might have impacted the urgency of her missing person report. So many times, it seems like cases involving marginalized or transient individuals don’t get the attention they deserve right from the start. It’s terrifying to think about how many of these women were going through tough times, and while trying to get by, they ended up in such dangerous situations. On top of that, back then, the forensic limitations must have really hampered efforts. I can’t help but wonder if things would have been different with today's technology. Such a reminder of the importance of seeing every single person as deserving immediate and full justice, no matter their life circumstances. Thoughts go out to her family and loved ones who still face the unknown.
