Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Javier Cruz from back in 2008? The scant details make it all the more frustrating, and my heart aches for his family who must be desperately seeking answers. I was reading about how many unsolved cases were occurring in Houston around that time and it’s just overwhelming. Why was Javier’s case never resolved? I wonder if it was a lack of witnesses or maybe evidence that couldn't quite pin anything down. It seems like law enforcement has their hands full, but it’s been so many years—I hope someone, somewhere comes forward with a piece of crucial information. I frequently think about how collaboration with Crimestoppers and community outreach efforts through social media could help, but it requires the community to step up. If anyone remembers anything, now is the time for action. What do you all think we can do to keep cases like Javier’s from fading into obscurity?
