It's been years since the tragic loss of Javier Cortez, and yet the questions linger. I can’t help but think about his mother, Maria. Surviving such a horrific experience only to find herself without answers must be an unimaginable burden. I hope wherever she is, she has found some form of peace, but I can only imagine how difficult it must be to move forward. It's upsetting that the people responsible for this are still out there. The family deserves closure, and any piece of new information that could help shine a light on what happened that night could make a world of difference. We sometimes forget how these crimes ripple through the lives of those left behind, and every once in a while it's important to remember that these are not just cases, they are families hoping for justice. Does anyone else find it weird how there were no signs of forced entry apart from the kicked-in door? I mean, Javier had just moved into the house, right? So who knew he was there and vulnerable enough to target? It’s terrifying to think about how these intruders got in and out so quickly without anyone noticing. I'm also thinking about poor Maria Cruz; the psychological trauma she must be going through is unimaginable. She traveled from Mexico to visit her son, and then this horrific event happens. To be left bound and helpless, it’s just so cruel. I hope she finds some peace and that justice is served soon. If anyone knows anything, it’s about time they stepped up. Such a senseless and violent crime needs answers.
