I keep thinking about the location where Cornelius was killed—2800 block of South Dairy Ashford. It's such a busy area with businesses and people around at all hours. How could nobody have seen anything or come forward yet? It just doesn’t add up to me. It's frustrating as a community member to see yet another murder go unsolved. I can only imagine how Cornelius's family must feel not having any closure or justice. If someone saw or heard something, they need to speak up. It’s worrisome knowing someone capable of this is still out there. I really hope the HPD can make some headway soon.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Cornelius Durden's case, and something that’s really been bothering me is the lack of progress in identifying a suspect. I just keep thinking about how traumatic this must be for his family, not having any clear answers this long after the incident. From what I’ve gathered, it sounds like the investigators did their best at the scene, but there’s just not much to go on. It makes me wonder about the challenges law enforcement faces in cases like this where there might not be obvious evidence or witnesses willing to talk.
For those of you familiar with the Houston area, is this lack of information normal in such cases? Or do you think there might be more happening behind the scenes that isn't being disclosed? The frustration of not knowing must be immense. I truly hope Cornelius’ family finds some peace and that witnesses come forward to bring justice to the case.
Thoughts and insights would be appreciated.
Stay safe, everyone.
I still find myself thinking about Cornelius Durden's case whenever I drive by South Dairy Ashford. It's unsettling to imagine a life cut so tragically short and the impact it must have on his family and friends. What really gets to me is that there seem to be no strong leads or suspects even after all these years. It's a reminder of how fragile life is and how quickly it can be disrupted by senseless violence.
It's disheartening to see another case in Houston's long list of unsolved murders. I'm curious if there’s been any progress on potential motives or if any new technology might aid the investigation. I sincerely hope someone out there who knows something will finally come forward. Cornelius and his loved ones deserve justice and peace.
