Hey everyone,
I've been following Ernest Hall's case on and off for a while now, and I keep thinking about the role community involvement can play in these unsolved cases. It's frustrating to think how even one tiny piece of information could make all the difference, yet witnesses or anyone who could come forward seem hesitant. It's understandable to be scared or unsure, but I've read about other cases where public tips have literally changed the whole trajectory of an investigation.
It's a big ask, I know, but I hope those who might know something or even have a small lead consider reaching out, even anonymously. Houston’s Crime Stoppers is there precisely for this reason, and they really do make it safe for people to share information without fear of retaliation.
My heart goes out to Ernest's family and friends. I can't imagine how hard it must be to not have closure. ?
Stay hopeful, everyone. Sometimes we only need one new lead to crack a case wide open.
Take care,

Hey everyone, I hope it's okay to share this here. I've been looking into the case of Ernest Hall from 2008 and wanted to discuss something that came up recently. While reading up about the investigation, I've noticed there's a real push from the community around these cases to help provide any information they might know. It's a tough situation because, without witness cooperation, it's hard to make any progress.
One thing that really stands out to me is how crucial public involvement is in solving these cold cases. It must be incredibly difficult for Ernest Hall’s family and friends, knowing that answers could be out there but remain just out of reach. If anyone happens to have any tips, even the smallest piece of information could potentially make a big difference. Crime Stoppers has been advocating for this, and reaching out to them seems like a good step.
What are everyone's thoughts on how successful community tips have been in cases like this? It seems like a real challenge to get people to come forward, especially if they’re scared or concerned about their safety. How can we better support Crime Stoppers and the Homicide Division in their efforts?
I just came across the case of Ernest Hall while diving into some unsolved murders in Houston, and it’s deeply troubling that this case still hasn’t been resolved. I’ve been thinking about the role of the Cold Case Squad in trying to bring justice to victims and closure to families. It must be so difficult for Mr. Hall’s loved ones, having to wait year after year without answers. It makes me wonder how these cold case units prioritize which cases to focus on when there are so many that need attention. I hope the re-evaluation of evidence with modern technology can offer some new directions for this case. Has anyone here seen a case recently solved by a cold case unit where modern tech played a pivotal role? Maybe there’s still hope for new breakthroughs that can finally give Mr. Hall’s family the answers they deserve. Thoughts?
