Has anyone else been following the case of Letha Perkins and her goddaughter from 2008? I'm really struck by the tragic loss of life, especially considering how young the goddaughter was and the fact that they were in their own home, a place that should be safe. It’s deeply distressing to think that Letha had sensed danger and reported it to the police before this horrific event. I keep thinking about what more could have been done to protect them. It's also heartbreaking to hear how the community has changed with the rise of drug-related crimes. I lived in a similar neighborhood once, and I remember how helpless it felt to see things get worse while feeling unheard. My thoughts are with the victims' families and the residents who have had their sense of safety shattered. If anyone has information about how the investigation is progressing or if there’s been any movement in the case, please share. It would be a small comfort to know there’s hope for justice.
