Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the George Clemons case for a while and something that really gets to me is the lack of camera footage on De Moss Drive at the time of his murder. I know this was 2008, and maybe cameras weren't as common as they are now, but in a city the size of Houston, it surprises me there wasn't anything that might have captured the suspect or some movement that morning.
What's frustrating is that a simple security camera could’ve made all the difference in providing evidence or at least a clearer timeline for investigators. I came across some similar cases where community-installed security systems helped piece together crucial moments leading up to a crime. It makes me wonder, has there been any push for better surveillance in areas where these unsolved crimes occur? Maybe it could help others even if it’s too late for Clemons.
My thoughts are with George's family and friends. Hopefully, with more technology and community support, we'll see some breakthroughs in the future. If anyone has insights on local efforts for improving surveillance, I'd love to hear more.
Stay safe, everyone.
