I came across Alfredo Escalera's case while reading about unsolved mysteries in San Antonio, and it really got me pondering how someone could target an elderly man like that. It breaks my heart to think that Mr. Escalera might have been seen as an easy target just because he lived alone. The community and his family deserve closure, and it’s frustrating to hear that after all these years, there haven’t been any arrests. I read that the police are still actively looking for leads. I'm hopeful that the renewed attention from the Cold Case Review Team could finally bring about some answers. Maybe someone in the area remembers something or knows someone who heard something back then. Even the smallest piece of info could make such a difference. Sending my thoughts to his family and hoping they get the justice they deserve soon.

I've been following the tragic case of Alfredo Escalera and it's really unsettling that it's still unsolved after all these years. What's been on my mind is the role us regular folks play in cold cases like this. Sometimes people might think their small piece of information isn't helpful or important, but it could actually be the missing puzzle piece investigators need to make progress. If anyone here is from the San Antonio area and might have seen or heard anything, even if it seems minor or happened before the actual event, it could be worth mentioning. The Escalera family, and others in similar situations, deserve answers and justice for their loved one. It's difficult knowing how time can make memories fade, but maybe someone out there remembers something, or someone talked about being near or around the scene. Let's keep spreading awareness, because keeping the conversation alive just might bring forward the information that breaks the case open. Please, if you've got even a whisper of detail, consider reaching out to the authorities. Alfredo deserves that justice, and his family deserves peace.
