I'm just thinking about Joseph Davis's neighbors and how unsettling it must have been for them to wake up to the news of such a violent event happening so close to home. I've lived in a neighborhood where everyone keeps an eye out for each other, and something like this would send shockwaves through any community. It’s just terrible to lose a neighbor and friend in such a tragic way, especially when it seems like there was a personal connection between him and the suspect.
