Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon the case of Charles Taylor, who went missing from Kodiak, Alaska, in 1977. Just thinking about the time Charles went missing is pretty wild to me because the MPC and the way missing person cases are structured today didn’t exist then, at least not in the same comprehensive way. I wonder how the lack of advanced databases and digital records back in the 70s impacted investigations like his. It’s a relief that the MPC now centralizes information and ensures it’s updated daily. But I can’t help but think about whether there were any records or signs that may have slipped through the cracks all those years ago? Could missing or mismanaged paper records back then be why there’s so little info about Charles today? If anyone has thoughts on how older cases like this could be approached now with our current resources and technology, I’d be interested in hearing them. Maybe there's a chance to revisit and find something new? Stay safe out there, everyone!
