I've been following Chevis Cooks' case from the beginning, and it's so devastating for his friends and family not to have answers after all these years. What really sticks with me is the location — the 5500 block of Kashmere Street. I grew up near there, and it's always been a busy area with people milling about. It's hard for me to believe that no one saw something or heard anything that morning. I think about how even a tiny detail could be the missing piece detectives need to get justice for Chevis. It's a call to action for the community. It could be someone who walked by that day or someone who noticed something out of place. Every detail matters, even if it seems insignificant. I truly hope that anyone out there with information, no matter how small it seems, will bring it to the police. It's the least we can do for Chevis and his loved ones who have waited far too long for justice.
