I've been following Rita Gutierrez-Garcia's case for a while, and I can’t stop thinking about how her absence must have affected her kids during those years of uncertainty. It’s beyond difficult for anyone to process losing a loved one, but for her kids to have gone through this without their mom must have been incredibly tough. I hope that with Figueroa finally held accountable, they find some solace, although nothing can truly replace the guidance and love of a mother. It’s a stark reminder for all of us about the inherent dangers our loved ones face and how important it is to prioritize their safety. Sending strength to the Gutierrez-Garcia family and everyone who loved Rita.
