Hey everyone, so I've been following the case of Roy Scott's murder for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is the role of mental health in incidents like these. It's just so tragic that an argument could escalate to such violence and loss of life. I can't help but wonder if more accessible mental health resources might play a part in preventing conflicts from getting out of hand.
Given that both Scott and Eaglin were in their 50s, it makes you think about what underlying pressures or issues might have been bubbling underneath the surface. Has anyone heard if either of them had a history of mental health struggles or previous violent encounters? Or even what the general situation was in Montrose regarding support systems or community services at the time?
Really hoping there’s more awareness and help available for people in need, so fewer families have to endure such pain. Would love to hear your thoughts or any information you might have come across. Thanks.
I can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for Roy Scott in his final moments. It’s so tragic that an argument escalated to such a horrendous level. Montrose has always been a vibrant area, and Roy's shop, Charlie's, was part of that community fabric. I'm wondering how this will impact the neighborhood going forward. Losing someone in such a brutal way really shakes us all. I hope the community can come together to support his family and help them find peace in a time that must be full of unimaginable pain. It’s crucial that we stay vigilant in demanding justice so Roy's family can find some closure.
