Has anyone else noticed how tight-lipped the McAlester PD has been about Alice Shuman's case? It’s been weeks now, and there’s barely any concrete info released to the public. I get that they might be holding back to preserve the investigation, but the lack of updates is really frustrating. Even the family seems to be kept in the dark a bit. I’m hoping this isn’t one of those situations where all the focus dies down until something big happens. What do you all think? Could law enforcement be playing their cards close to their chest for a reason, or are they just coming up empty despite the efforts? It’d be great to see them reach out and reassure the community that they’re still working hard on finding out what happened to Alice.
Has anyone looked into nearby events or gatherings around McAlester on or just before May 31, 2024? Sometimes these can provide unexpected clues. If Alice Shuman was seen at home last, maybe she had plans to attend something locally. It might be worth checking with organizers or venues for their guest lists or security footage, even if it's a long shot. Also, local Facebook groups or neighborhood watch pages might have some chatter or posts from that time that didn’t initially seem relevant but could now. Just thinking out loud here, but every detail could help!
