It’s incredibly difficult to wrap my head around how the justice system has handled Lorenzo Palomares’ case. I mean, here we are, over a decade later, and his family is still waiting for answers. I can only imagine the pain and frustration they must feel with all the postponed trial dates and lack of closure. I wonder about the psychological impact this unresolved case has on the family. The constant delays and uncertainties must be emotionally draining. When a loved one's death is surrounded by unanswered questions, how does one even begin to process grief? It’s like having a gaping wound that never heals. From what I read, the Houston PD's Cold Case Squad and Investigative Support have been actively working on the case. I really hope they can find some break that’ll finally bring justice. It’s such a sobering reminder of the toll violence takes on families and communities alike. Sending strength to Lorenzo's loved ones—hoping that one day, they receive the answers they deserve.
