I've been thinking a lot about the dynamics of communities and how something like this affects them. The loss of young James Hardemon is something that ripples beyond just his immediate family and friends. It's a pain shared by the entire neighborhood and city, especially considering that one of the victims was simply sleeping inside. It's terrifying and maddening to think that our youth can be caught in such violence when they should be safe at home. I truly hope that those responsible for taking James from us are brought to justice swiftly, but in the meantime, I wish for the community to rally around one another, offering support and ensuring such a tragedy doesn't happen again.
