I keep thinking about how much DK's smile must've brightened up his auto detailing shop. Everyone says he was such a positive energy in his community, both in Houston and back in New Iberia. It’s especially touching to hear that so many people came out for the visitation and services. I wasn't there, but from what others have shared, you could really feel how beloved he was by his family, friends, and even casual acquaintances. It's incredibly sad to think of how hard this must be for his children and parents. I hope they find comfort in the stories people are sharing about him; he clearly made a strong, lasting impression on those he met. Anyone care to share a personal memory or an interaction they had with DK? It's little pieces of his life like those that can keep his spirit alive.

I've been thinking a lot about the community's response to DK's passing and it's truly touching how everyone in both Houston and New Iberia has rallied around his family. From what I've heard, people came out in droves to honor him, and the turnout at his funeral was a testament to how loved he was. It's hard to imagine the pain his parents and siblings must be going through, but seeing the support they've received gives me hope. It seems like DK really left a lasting impact on those around him, and that says so much about the kind of person he was. If anyone has stories or memories they'd like to share about DK, I think it could be a comfort to those who miss him deeply. He may be gone, but the love for him is still very much alive.
