Has anyone else looked into the possible links between the Barbara Nantais case and other unsolved cases in San Diego around the same time? I’ve been reading about her murder, and it seems eerily similar to some other violent crimes that happened back then, though maybe not exactly at Torrey Pines. I'm wondering if there's any chance that these might be connected, even if just by the type of crime committed. It’s so frustrating that after all these years, there still aren’t any concrete answers. It must be so painful for Barbara’s family to have to live with this uncertainty. I hope that someone who knows something, even if it's a small detail, comes forward to help bring some closure to them. Every piece of information could be crucial. This poor young girl deserves her justice.

I’ve been reading up on the Barbara Nantais case, and one aspect that really stood out to me is how crucial DNA evidence is in investigations like these. Considering the technology we have today, I wonder if there are any plans for re-examining old evidence with modern DNA testing methods? It’s devastating to think that a case like this, which shook an entire community, remains unsolved because of the limitations of the time. Cases with any kind of physical evidence should definitely be revisited when better technology becomes available. Maybe someone here knows if there have been any recent efforts to do this? My heart goes out to her family and the generations that have been affected by this senseless loss.
