Hey all, I came across the case of Randy Horton recently and it really got me thinking about the dangers hitchhikers faced during that era. Something that stands out to me about the case is the discovery of Randy's suitcase so far from his body. It's so haunting to imagine the moments leading up to him being stranded by the highway. I've read about how personal belongings can often provide vital clues, and I wonder if anything from the suitcase helped investigators piece together his last moments. Did anyone ever hear about what was inside, or if it offered any hints about who might have picked him up? It’s just such a sad story, and my heart goes out to his family who have been waiting for answers all these years. If anyone has thoughts or theories, please share. Hopefully, with new interest or techniques, there can be some traction in this case. Stay safe out there!
I've been following the case of Randy Horton, and I can't help but think about the role hitchhiking played during that era. It's terrifying to consider how common it was for people to hitch a ride without knowing who might pick them up. Randy was just trying to get from his grandmother's place in San Jose to Spokane, and it breaks my heart thinking about how vulnerable he must have been.
There's a lot of speculation about whether someone like Randy Kraft could have been involved, given his pattern of targeting hitchhikers. But, as of now, there's no concrete evidence linking him to Randy's murder. It's been over 40 years, and technology has come such a long way—I'm hopeful that some new DNA evidence or witness memories might surface. My heart goes out to Randy's family; they deserve answers and closure. If anyone has any new information or theories, every bit could help.
