Has anyone else noticed how the community really came together during Keonja Askew’s disappearance? It was truly impressive to see people from all over Ocala sharing the alert and keeping an eye out for her. It’s a reminder of how powerful public involvement can be in missing person cases. Since she has a medical condition, I think everyone felt an extra sense of urgency to help out however they could. I’m curious if the Sheriff's Office will share more about the challenges faced in her case when (or if) they release additional details. It's interesting to think about what resources we might need more of in future situations like this.
