Has anyone else noticed how often unsolved cases seem to hinge on missing or uncooperative witnesses? It's so frustrating to think that someone out there might have seen something the night Charles Edward Ford was shot near East Berry Street. I understand that people can be afraid to speak up, especially if they fear repercussions, but silence only helps the perpetrator. Ford's family deserves answers, and it breaks my heart knowing they are left with so many questions. Maybe the community feels disconnected from law enforcement—I don't know. But imagine if someone took that brave step to come forward... it could be the key to unraveling this tragedy. Crime Stoppers still has a reward out there, but it seems that money alone isn't enough to motivate witnesses. What else can we do to encourage people to speak up and cooperate in cases like this?
