Has anyone else been following the disappearance of Kimberly Ashby? I was really struck by how the local community in Elk Park is rallying together to support the search efforts. I read that her colleagues from SanLee Middle School have organized a few fundraisers to help cover expenses for ongoing search operations and to support her family during this difficult time. It’s amazing to see how much a community can come together in the face of such a tragedy. I wonder about the logistics of the search in areas affected by the flood – I can’t imagine how difficult it must be with the destroyed infrastructure. With roads and bridges being out, I’m curious how the rescue teams are even navigating these areas. Does anyone know if they’re using helicopters or boats more often in these situations to cover more ground (or water, in this case)? It sounds like a challenging task, but hopefully, the continued efforts and all the prayers will bring some answers soon.

Hey everyone, I just want to share something that’s been on my mind about Kimberly Ashby’s case. I keep wondering whether the weather conditions might have affected the initial search and rescue efforts more than we realize. Given the severity of Hurricane Helene and the fact that the Elk River was raging during the time Kimberly vanished, I can’t help but think that the water may have transported her much farther than originally anticipated, especially with the current pulling debris and people downstream. The involvement of Tennessee authorities suggests they’re looking downstream, but the floodwaters were so unpredictable—does anyone else feel they should also be checking upstream or even across the banks? Local reports have mentioned wreckage seen near the riverbanks days afterward, which might be worth re-examining now that water levels are receding. It's just heartbreaking for the community and for everyone connected to SanLee Middle School. Keeping Kimberly and her loved ones in my thoughts.
