Has anyone been following the search efforts for Steven Cloyd? I've been poring over everything about his case, and I'm curious about the condition of the Nolichucky River area after the hurricane. Given the flooding, does anyone know if the water levels have receded enough to aid in the search? It seems like that might be a key factor in finding him. Also, are there any updates or leads from locals who've been helping with the search? It's incredible to see so many community members and volunteers stepping up, but it must be tough with all the obstacles they're facing. If anyone has more recent insights or knows about similar past cases with better outcomes, please share. Every bit of information might help the search teams and bring some hope to Steven's family.
Hey all, I'm still thinking a lot about Steven Cloyd, the missing gentleman from Jonesborough. I can't shake the feeling that the Nolichucky River might be holding some secrets. With the floods following Hurricane Helene, maybe the currents took him or some clues further downstream than they're checking. I saw they’ve been focusing a lot on the riverbanks close to where his Jeep was found, but could it be possible the search area needs to be expanded given the flood's intensity? Water can be so unpredictable during these times. It's great to see both the professional and volunteer search efforts out there, and I'm totally behind the family's call for more information. If anyone around the area noticed anything unusual, it could make a huge difference. Also, I wonder if any specialized water search teams are involved. Maybe someone knows more about it? It must be beyond tough for Steven's family right now. Let's keep spreading the word and help them out however we can. ??
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Steven Cloyd, who went missing around the time Hurricane Helene hit. Something that's been puzzling me is the timing of his disappearance with respect to the hurricane's path. Does anyone know if the Nolichucky River or the surrounding areas were particularly dangerous or prone to flooding right before he went missing?
With his Jeep found abandoned, I wonder if the severe weather caught him off-guard while driving. If that's the case, it's possible he sought higher ground or assistance but got trapped due to the rising waters. The authorities have done a commendable job so far, but I can’t help but think maybe there's a crucial detail about the river's conditions that might lead them in a different direction.
Any local insight or knowledge of how these flood conditions typically affect travel in the area would be greatly appreciated. I'm really hoping they find something soon. Keeping his family in my thoughts.
