Hey everyone, I've been following Nathan Paul Baldwin's case pretty closely, and it's honestly troubling to think about how it fits into the larger picture of violence in Fort Worth that year. One aspect that keeps coming up in discussions is the response by the Fort Worth Police Department. Many people I've talked to question whether they had enough resources to handle the spike in crime. With 70 homicides that year, it feels like they were stretched too thin. I've read a few articles suggesting that city council members were pushing for more officers and better protective measures, but it seems like there was a delay in getting anything substantial done. For Nathan's family, I can't begin to imagine the frustration of knowing that his death might have been part of a larger issue of inadequate law enforcement response. It makes me wonder if having more officers on the street could have prevented some of these tragedies, or if there's something more systemic that needs addressing. Sending lots of love to those who knew Nathan and to everyone affected by that awful year in Fort Worth. ?
