Hey everyone, just wanted to share some thoughts on the tragic case of Brandi Seals (Debarione Seals). It's so distressing that yet another vibrant life was cut short in such a senseless act of violence. From what I've read, Brandi was incredibly loved by her family and had a strong support system during her transition. It's devastating to think that someone could have targeted her just because of who she was. What's been really sticking with me is the location where it all happened—an unfinished home. It's haunting to imagine how alone and vulnerable she must have felt in those final moments. The symbolism of it strikes me too—an unfinished home, an unfinished life, full of potential and plans that will never be realized. This hate crime is a painful reminder of the real dangers transgender individuals, especially women of color, face on a daily basis. I truly hope that this case not only receives the justice it deserves but also sparks more profound conversations and actions within our communities. Her family and friends, and honestly the whole community, deserve answers and assurance that we're moving toward a safer world for everyone. Sending love and strength to all who knew and loved Brandi. ?
